The complainant,Munish Verma, manager of Cholamandalam Finance Company, reported to the police that one Jagtar Singh,a resident of Sabdalpur in Patiala, approached the company in June 2007 for the purpose of financing a bus.

For the purpose of taking a loan of Rs 6.6 lakh,Jagtar produced an agreement with Ryan International School and told the company he had been hired by the school. A bus number — PB65 S 3825 — of Eicher-make was financed to him.
