Three-day youth fest begins in Patiala

The three-day Zonal Youth Festival of Punjabi University,Patiala Zone,commenced here on Tuesday at Khalsa College.

Punjab Minister for Jails,Tourism and Cultural Affairs Hira Singh Gabria was the chief guest. He said cultural festivals were essential not only to give a platform to the youth to showcase their talent and potential but also to bring them closer to their roots. He announced a grant of Rs 5 Lakh for the establishment of Punjabi Culture Study Centre at the college. Dharminder Singh Ubha,principal of the college,welcomed the guests.
