Third seed Gupta surges ahead

Third seed Vishal Gupta stormed into the pre-quarterfinals of Seventh Saurabh Khattar Memorial Billiards and Snooker Championship with a 69-27,54-28 win over Saurav Narula in match held on Sunday.

Third seed Vishal Gupta stormed into the pre-quarterfinals of Seventh Saurabh Khattar Memorial Billiards and Snooker Championship with a 69-27,54-28 win over Saurav Narula in match held on Sunday.

Gupta won the first frame with a margin of 69-27 before winning the second frame by 54-28 to book his place in the pre-quarterfinals. In another match on Sunday,Ricky Batra won a tough match over Amit Jain by 69-42,53-49 to secure his place into the next round. Batra claimed the first frame with a margin of 69-42 before claiming the second frame narrowly by 53-49.

In another match,Karanveer Narula ended the challenge of Amit Jain with a 37-30,58-68,51-43 win. Narula claimed the first frame with a margin of 37-30 before he lost the second frame narrowly by 58-68. Narula then wrapped up the game by winning the third frame with a margin of 51-43.

In another match of the day,Vikramjeet ended the challenge of Rishi Vahi with a 65-32,25-52,56-34 win. Vikramjeet claimed the first frame with a margin of 65-32 before losing the second frame by 25-52. Vikramjeet then rallied to claim the third frame by 56-34 to move further in the championship.

In the last match of the day,J Kohli ended the challenge of Saurav Nayar with an 81-40,70-35 win. Kohli won the first frame by 81-40 before wrapping up the second and final frame with a margin of 70-35.
