The arguments on the closure report filed by the Central Bureau of Investigation in the controversial multi-crore amusement-cum-theme park project were adjourned till July 7 as complainant Vivek Aditya did not get a copy of the complete Central Vigilance Commission(CVC) report in the case.
Aditya on Monday requested the special CBI court to provide him the full (40 pages) copy of the CVC report as he was only provided half the pages. The public prosecutor argued that the rest of the pages were dealing with other cases.
However,Aditya argued that the CVC had treated all the cases together. Later,he was provided the complete copy of the report.
The CBI will file its reply on the application of re-investigation filed by the complainant on the next date of hearing. The court will also hear arguments on the closure report filed by the CBI.
The CBI had recently filed a closure report on the grounds that they were not able to find any criminal intent or malafide on the part of the accused. Three former top bureaucrats the then adviser Lalit Sharma, then home secretary Krishna Mohan and then director (tourism) Vivek Atray and MD,Unitech Limited,Ajay Chandra were named as the accused in the FIR. The closure report has not yet been accepted by the CBI court.
