It’s not everyday that you get to see doctors shed their white coats and stethoscopes and don dapper ensembles to walk the ramp. So when the team of doctors and management members at Fortis,Mohali,decided to celebrate the hospital’s 10th anniversary in a rather fashionable manner,it seemed just the right occasion and certainly attracted a lot of attention.

While some senior doctors wore outfits made from cleaning and recycled material to exhibit principles of cleanliness,others,including the the hospital’s managing director,Shivinder Mohan Singh,walked the ramp in crisp suits. Also looking dapper was Colonel (Retd.) Harinder Chehal,zonal director (Punjab and Himachal Pradesh),Fortis,who was dressed in a suit and flaming yellow turban to match. Accompanying him on stage was the hospital’s popular face,head of corporate communications,Meeta Mann,who looked chic in a lace saree. It was hard not to agree with the emcee when she announced,“Here’s a collection so unique in style that it promises to blow the germs away.” Held in the hospital’s auditorium,the cultural extravaganza also included a comedy show presented by senior clinicians,that had everyone in splits. The nurses of the hospital,meanwhile,presented a devotional dance performance.
