Tarundeep tees to glory

Tarundeep Chadha beat heat on a sultry day to emerge winner in the Category A (Boys) event and also the championship in the Hero Honda Junior Golf Championship held at Chandigarh Golf Club on Monday. He had a score of 1-under 71. Raghav Bhandari finished second with a gross score of 73.

Meanwhile,Adil Bedi cornered glory in the Category D (Boys) with a nett score of 73,while Karanveer Singha emerged runners-up with a nett score of 77. It was Paramjit Yadav who won the Category C (boys) title,while Jaiveer Singh Sandhu finished second. Vrinda Aggarwal took the Category C (girls) title with a nett score of 76,while Gurjot Badwal had to satisfy with second position after garmering a nett score of 82.

Similarly,Yuvraj Sandhu emerged winner in the Category B (boys) event,while Jairaj Singh Sandhu finished runners-up. Tavleen Batra finished runners-up in the category A (Girls) while Jaipreet Ghuman was declared the winner in the same category. Captain GS Ghuman,chairman tournaments at Chandigarh Golf Club,announced that five more junior tournaments will be held in the following months. He also added that the Chandigarh Golf Club would soon be starting a family golf tournament in which golfing families can compete against one another.
