Tao Bar brawl: Accused held,3 surrender

Amandeep Singh Gill,son of the owner of Gilco Valley,Mohali,and the main accused in the ‘Tao Bar & Lounge’ brawl case that took place on Saturday night was arrested today by the Chandigarh Police.

Amandeep Singh Gill,son of the owner of Gilco Valley,Mohali,and the main accused in the ‘Tao Bar & Lounge’ brawl case that took place on Saturday night was arrested today by the Chandigarh Police. Other three accused in the case also surrendered owing to pressure from the police raids.

The three persons who surrendered today have been identified as Amandeep Sidhu,a resident of Kotkapura,Harmanjeet Singh,a resident of Muktsar and Yadwinder Singh,a resident of Ferozepur. The main accused Amandeep Singh Gill,a resident of Phase-VII,Mohali was arrested today.

The police claimed to have identified some other accused involved in the brawl have and raids were being conducted on the their hideouts.

On Saturday,the police had registered a case under sections 147,148,149,323,452,307,34 of the Indian Penal Code(IPC) at the Sector 26 Police Station in connection with the brawl which took place outside the nightclub located in Sector 26.

The accused along with others had attacked some persons after they were told to leave the bar. Four persons were injured in the attack.

One of the person was admitted to the hospital with a chopped finger.
