Karan Kundra returns with season 2 of Kitni Mohabbat Hai,a first on Indian television

It,s a first, and actor Karan Kundra can’t stop smiling. His television series Kitni Mohabbat Hai returns to Indian television with season 2. “It’ll have a new love story, but the characters are the same,” says Kundra. For the uninitated,Kitni Mohabbat Hai was yet another soap opera with a romantic twist that went off air in September last. It had a successful innings on NDTV Imagine and returns to Imagine once again on popular demand. “I played the romantic hero in Season 1,who believes money is everything till this girl (Kritika Kamra) comes in his life. In Season 2,it’s the romantic hero thing again, but on the lighter side,” he says. “The characters of Arjun and Arohi remain the same, but Season 2 is not as much about crying and drama as the first edition. It’s funnier, but don’t blame us if it does end up a bit filmy.” He adds that the new show is targeted at the younger audience.

All set to star in an untitled film with Arshad Warsi and Kalki Koechlin,Karan says that flitting between TV serials, reality shows and films is all part if a day’s work. “As long as it is quality stuff,I don’t mind the medium,” says the actor. What does he watch on TV? “I’m a National Geographic and Discovery channel type of guy. But,I also enjoy simple shows like Pavitra Rishta and Sasural Genda Phool and yes,all Rakhi Sawant shows. I am a huge Rakhi fan.”

Even as he basks in the glow of Kitni Mohabbat Hai,Karan lets us in on an unfulfilled wish: “I desperately want to do some action flicks now.
