Chandigarh Lalit Kala Akademi,in association with the Embassy of Switzerland in India,is organising a slide lecture by noted Swiss Architect Christian Mueller to mark the “Year of Swiss architecture, design and engineering in India”,as well as to mark Amrita Sher-Gil’s birth centenary. Mueller presents a holistic approach to sustainability. Born and educated in Switzerland,Mueller tried to reshape the role of an architect through his company,Christian Müller Architects. Rather than building a reputation through a signature design,he made collaborative work as an essential component of his practice. During the lecture,Mueller will focus on green buildings, but never as an end in themselves. Mueller himself designs fully energy neutral buildings, like the competition entry for New City Hall Rotterdam.

The lecture will be held at Govt Museum and Art Gallery,Sector 10,Chandigarh,today,at 5.30 pm
