Strike over but Jet operations yet to take off

The city residents continued to face the inconvenience despite the Jet Airways pilots calling off the strike on Saturday night. The flights from Chandigarh did not take off on Sunday as pilots are yet to reach the base.

Though the staff is hopeful that the flights would take off on Monday,bookings for the two flights for Mumbai and Delhi were disrupted. As passengers were informed in advance about the flights being non-operational,none approached the airport. In the meantime,other airlines continue to mint money by increasing the fares for the same flights.

“We were hopeful that the flights would take off today but they did not. There are other travel options for Delhi but they are only airlines and train for Mumbai. This makes it very inconvenient as important assignments are cancelled due to no other mode of travel,” said Harpreet Sidhu,a local resident.
