SPS clinch winners’ trophy

Satluj Cricket Academy,Panchkula,recorded a 19-run win over Harry Cricket Club in the final of the1st Inter-State Junior Champions Trophy to claim the title held at Kundal International School-46 in Chandigarh on Sunday.

Batting first,Satluj Cricket Academy scored 136 runs in 25 overs. Shubham Vij (38),Rajat (30) were the main scorers from Satluj Academy. Sagar bowled a superb line,to grab four wickets and restrict the opponents at 136.

In reply,Abhishek Thakur wrecked the Harry Cricket Club batting department,scalping crucial five wickets. Angad Khaira supported him ably,picking up three wickets. Harry Cricket Club were bundled out for 117 in 23.4 overs. Akshay (25) and Sarthak (20) were the main scorers from the losing side.

Sagar of Harry Cricket Club was declared as man of the match,while Shubham Vij was named as man of the tournament.
