Shoolini University,a leading private university in Himachal Pradesh,and Genpact have partnered with the objective to develop and implement a management graduate program based on the requirements of Genpact as well as the broader Indian outsourcing sector. This association will ensure the development of a suitable employable pool of graduates and post graduates with relevant skill sets and functional knowledge. It will also enhance the quality of the educational experience for students of the university who are selected for this particular program. The course will offer in-depth knowledge and practical insights into areas of specialized services including Finance and Accounting,Procurement and Supply Chain,Analytics and Research and Reengineering. The eligibility and admission process to enroll for the program is fairly simple wherein the students are shortlisted through a written test followed by a personal interview and a group discussion session.

Speaking about the MoU,’Tiger’ Tyagarajan,COO of Genpact informed,”Our partnership with Shoolini University is unique because unlike course offerings in technology or finance or human resources,universities globally do not have comprehensive programs that teach management of business processes. The fact that every corporation has business processes that cut across them and are at the core of how they run,managing these enterprise business processes is a science. This course is an attempt to bring our knowlege of this science to students,and better prepare them to use them at work and increase their competitiveness in the employment market.”

According to Dr P K Khosla,Chairman,Shoolini University,”There is a pressing need to have curricula in higher education which ensures that graduates are proactively groomed to contribute to industry – rather than being just passive recipients of education. We believe industry-academia collaboration is a must to develop future generation of employable graduates. The Shoolini University–Genpact collaboration is an important step in this direction.” Under the agreement,the university will provide infrastructure and faculty and manage the admission process. Genpact will guide and support the development of the coursework,train the faculty,offer summer internships and projects to the students and will also be a part of the campus placement process at the end of the program. Genpact and Shoolini University will also conduct ongoing reviews and feedback sessions to ensure the success of the program.
