Skills workshop dwells on job satisfaction,self-motivation

As part of the series of training programmes to enhance the employability quotient of technical graduates,a workshop on “Motivating Self and Others” was conducted at SSBUICET auditorium under Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme (TEQIP-II) on Saturday.

More than 200 students and faculty members participated in the day-long workshop in which a number of experts and professionals motivated the students. The students were explained about the need for synchronisation of personal and organisational goals. The students learnt about self motivation,job satisfaction,and performance through attitudes,resilience and mental toughness.

The workshop received overwhelming response and helped build the desired momentum,commitment and internal bonding necessary to propel the engineering graduates for superior synergy and higher performances.

General Manager of CITCO,A K Malhotra,in his presidential address called upon the students to equip themselves with the necessary skills to reap benefits of the liberalised economy. He said with the changing job profiles,students need to reorient their skill sets. Emeritus Fellow,PU and Member,ICSSR Professor Jitendra Mohan,who was the guest of honour also expressed concern over the recent instances of student unrest.

The workshop coordinator,Dr Seema Kapoor,outlined the objectives and mission of the programme.
