Shanta backs Swamy in his graft drive

Senior BJP leader and Rajya Sabha member Shanta Kumar on Saturday backed Janata Party president Subramanian Swamy in his battle against corruption,especially in the 2G scam,and complimented him on his single-handed fight.

In a letter written to Swamy,the BJP’s national vice-president said “Swamy has accomplished an exemplary and highly significant task through his legal battle. He has done what neither CBI nor the entire country’s Opposition could do”.

Kumar,who had often been raising his voice against corruption even within the BJP,said the country was passing through a very critical phase as corruption had become the biggest challenge. He drew a parallel between the external threats which India was facing from China and other countries,and corruption within the country. The BJP leader also called for a collective battle against corruption.
