SD Public School claim boxing title

SD Public School,Sector 32 claimed the overall title in the Chandigarh Inter-School Boxing Tournament for U-17 boys held at SD Public School,Sector 32.

SD Public School,Sector 32 claimed the overall title in the Chandigarh Inter-School Boxing Tournament for U-17 boys held at SD Public School,Sector 32. The host team’s boxers benefitted a lot from the newly built boxing rink at the school and it showed in their performance. The boxers were coached by coach Sangita.

In the 46 Kg category,Himanshu claimed the gold medal with a win over Ladoo Kumar of Government Model School,Sector 43 while the third spot was bagged by Arjun of Tribune Model School,who defeated Sanjeev of Government Senior Secondary School,Sector 15.

In the 48 kg category,Amandeep of SD Public School claimed the top spot with a win over Adesh of Government Senior Secondary School,Sector 15. Lakshay of Government Model School,Sector 15 claimed the third spot with a win over Puneet of Sharda Boxing Club,Sector 40.

In the 50 Kg category,Sohan of SD Public School,Sector 32 claimed the top spot with a win over Aman. The third spot was claimed by Sanjay of Government High School,Sector 46 with a win over Vikas of Sharda Boxing Club.

In kick boxing,Governement Model Senior Secondary School,Sector 18 claimed the overall title in the girls’ U-19 category with 20 points. The second spot was claimed by Ryan International School,Sector 49 with 11 points while the third spot was claimed by Government Model Senior Secondary School,Manimajra with ten points.

In the -45 kg category,Sarita of Government Model Senior Secondary School,Sector 46 claimed the top spot while the second spot was claimed by Ritu Rani. The third spot was shared by Tehmina Khan and Savita.

In the -48 kg category,Komal of Government Model Senior Secondary School,Sector 18 claimed the top spot while the second spot was claimed by Neha. The third spot was shared by Preeti and Ahmen Fatma.

In the U-19 girls’ sqay martial art,Government Model Senior Secondary School,Sector 20 claimed the overall title with 20 points. The second point was claimed by Government High School,Sector 38 with five points. The third spot was claimed by DAV Public School,Sector 8 with four points.
