One can now access all the information collected through the Right to Information Act anywhere in India within the confines of a single library. In a first in Asia,a library dedicated to RTI documents has been inaugurated at the Dwarka Das library in the Lala Lajpat Rai Bhavan.

The event marks the 7 th anniversary of Presidential assent to the RTI Act. The Citizens Voice and RTI Users Association is spearheading the development of the library in association with Servants of People’s Society,a society founded by Lala Lajpat Rai in 1921.

Anyone can be a member for free of cost and contribute information to the open access library. The process of collection of information from RTI users is ongoing and it will be uploaded online for all.

A unique library classification system called the ‘Indian Information Documents System’ has been developed specifically for this library.
