Anil claimed that he received another call on October 14 from a person who demanded Rs 20 lakh, failing which he would kill Ram.

“The person used both Hindi and Punjabi while talking,” Anil said, adding that the caller said the money has to be delivered in India.

The victim’s wife, meanwhile, urged the central government to look into the matter and arrange the money,as she claimed that she is too poor to even take care of her family’s needs.

The family has also approached the Lok Bhalai Party (LBP) to take up the matter with the Centre and Indian Embassy in Greece at the earliest to secure Ram’s release.
