Rahul Gandhi impresses Sirsa

All India Congress Committee (AICC) General Secretary Rahul Gandhi today infused enthusiasm among first-time voters and the youth,and asked the audience to vote to Sirsa Lok Sabha candidate Ashok Tanwar,the president of Youth Congress,to strengthen the hands of Manmohan Singh as the prime minister.

The audience,mainly comprising the youth,had to sweat it out for five hours in scorching heat,with temperature soaring to more than 45 degree Celsius. But undeterred,they kept waiting to see Rahul Gandhi,who is emerging as the future prime minister.

Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda left no opportunity to use Rahul to woo voters,and said Ashok Tanwar’s victory would be a victory for Rahul Gandhi. Tanwar went a step ahead,saying,“Rahul is the general of the youth brigade,and we are his sena”.

Rahul freely shook hands with youngsters,among slogans like ‘Rahul age barho ham tumhare saath hain’. He attacked BJP for calling Manmohan Singh a weak prime minister,and said BJP’s PM-in-waiting himself had surrendered before terrorists during the Kandhahar incident.
