Purse snatched from woman

Two youths on a motorcycle halted near her and the pillion rider snatched away her purse,which contained cash and a cellphone.

She raised a hue and cry,but the two had fled by that time.

The victim couldn’t see the faces of the goons,as they wore helmets,nor could she note down the number of the bike.

The incident occurred near the gurdwara in Sector 15.

A case under sections 356 and 379 of the Indian Penal Code has been registered in the Sector-11 police station.

Till October this year,a total of 164 snatching cases have already been reported with 38 cases being registered in October alone.
