Pup Stars!

Nothing’s more satisfying and rejuvenating than a refreshing walk in the park,especially when you have an eager mutt on the leash,tugging you with full force,begging you to let go and run. That’s exactly what was in store for pet owners and lovers at the Chandigarh Dog Show organised at the Sector 10 Leisure Valley. A sunny morning with woofs,wags and bow wows,the show saw as many as 300 participants from the region trotting in with the finest of dog breeds. Around 40 breeds showed off their pedicured paws,shining coat and that heat-stopping gait. To add to the extravagance,the show boasted of a Rs 12 lakh dog too! But it was the Rottweilers who stole the show. This year was a smaller fare compared to last year for the international entries were banned from the show this time round. According to organisers,this was done to boost the local participation. Apart from this,there were plenty of stalls selling pets and these included birds,guinea pigs and rabbits too!
