Punjab imports bull semen from Canada

Punjab has recently imported 1.5 lakh high quality semen doses from Canada to improve the cow breed.

Chandigarh: Punjab has recently imported 1.5 lakh high quality semen doses from Canada to improve the cow breed. “The imported semen would help 75,000 cows to produce dual breed offspring,” an official spokesman said here on Friday. He said that the high quality cattle produced through this technique would be able to deliver 7,000 to 8,000 liter milk per delivery.
