PU extends dates for submission of forms

This extension,till July 6,was proposed for convenience of students,especially because results of students have just been declared and transportation services were affected today,which might have caused inconvenience to outstation students.

The bad weather was also kept in mind. With restoration of 5 per cent seats for students in the BC category in the recent Syndicate meeting,PU has extended the last date of submission of forms to July 12. The Syndicate of University,at its meeting held on June 29,had restored 5 per cent reservation to Backward Class students seeking admission to the university departments and PU Regional Centres.

The Student Organisation of India (SOI) submitted a memorandum to the Vice-Chancellor,requesting him to extend the date,mentioning all these reasons,said campus president Manpreet Singh Sekhon.

The departments where date for submission of admission forms is over,candidates can still submit their applications under the Backward Class Category. Students seeking admission under BC category will have to submit a certificate in this regard.
