PU counselling schedule

The departmental entrance test for admission to the first year of Master in Public Health course will be held on July 11,2011 at 10 am in the Zoology department auditorium,PU. The test will comprise 100 multiple choice questions to be attempted in 90 minutes. There will be negative marking as per CET rules. Candidates are advised to bring all original documents needed for their admission.

Mathematics

The interview for admission to M Sc (Hons School) first Year (through OCET) in mathematics for all categories for the academic session 2011-12 will be held on July 13 (Wednesday) at 10 am in the Mathematics Auditorium.

Hindi

The interview for admission to first semester MA Hindi shall be held on July 11 at 10 am in the room of the chairperson of the Hindi department. All the applicants are requested to bring their original academic and other certificates.

Urdu

The interview for admission to first semester of MA Urdu will be held on July 11 (Monday) from 10.30 am to 5 pm except during the lunch hour in the department of Urdu. Students are advised to bring their original documents and other relevant papers related to admission on the day of interview as mentioned above.

Centre for Stem Cell and Tissue Engg

The department level admission test followed by interview for admission to M Sc first year in Stem Cell and Tissue Engineering will be held on Monday,July 11 at 9.30 am in the Centre for Stem Cell and Tissue Engineering (2nd floor,Pharmacy extension block building,Sector 14,PU). All the applicants are advised to reach the centre by 9 am and to bring original certificates,mark sheets and other relevant documents for verification.

Chemistry

The interview for admission to first year M Sc (Hons School) Chemistry (based on OCET Examination) for the session 2011-12 will be held on July 14 at 10 am in the seminar room of the department.

Public Administration

The interviews for admission to MA first semester (Public Administration) for the session 2011-12 will be held at the Department of Public Administration in Arts Block No III,PU campus on July 12 at 10 am.

Zoology

The interview for admission to M Sc (Hons School) first year in Zoology will be held on July 14,2011 at 10 am,based on OCET Examination in Zoology conducted by the University and have submitted admission forms in the department. The candidates should bring all original documents/certificates at the time of interview.

Physics

Counseling for admission to M Tech first year (Nanoscience and Nanotechnology) will be held on July 18 at 10.30 am in the committee room of the Physics department. Candidates are required to bring all original academic certificates,other certificates,an affidavit of gap year in original,SC/ST certificate for verification,on the basis of which admission is sought,said coordinator,Nanoscience and Nanotechnology,CEAST,PU.

Computer Science and Applications

All the candidates who have submitted their admission forms for admission to MCA Course 2011 are hereby advised to submit the related documents to avoid any discrepancy by 5 pm on July 11. No document will be entertained after July 11.

NCHGSR

The counselling/interview for admission to M Sc (Human Genomics) first semester for the session 2011-12 has been fixed for July 19 at 10.30 am in the office of the Director,National Centre for Human Genome Studies and Research (NCHGSR) department in the Pharmaceutical Extension Block,PU campus. The candidates are required to bring all the original documents at the time of interview and no separate letter will be issued.

Anthropology

The interview for admission to M Sc (Hons School) first year will be held on July 14 at 10 am in Department of Anthropology.

Physical Education

Physical Efficiency Test for admission to B PEd (Bachelor of Physical Education) and M PEd (Master of Physical Education) courses will be held on July 14 at 7 am at the university grounds. Counselling/interview for admission to B PEd and M PEd courses will also be held on the same date (July 14) in the Department of Physical Education.

Evening Studies

* The interview for admission to B.Com. Part I will be held on July 11 at 5 pm in the auditorium of the Department of Evening Studies.

* The interview for admission to B Com Part II will be held on July 11 and 12 at 5 pm in room number 5,Arts Block I (first floor).

* The interview for admission to B Com III will be held on July 11 and 12 at 5 pm in room number 6,Arts Block No 1 (first floor).

* The interview for admission to BA Part I will be held on July 11 and 12 at 5 pm in room number 1 for group 1,room number 3 for group 2,room number 4 for group 3 and ground floor hall for group 4 in Arts Block No 1.

* The interview for admission to MA Part I (English) will be held on July 11 in room number 1 (first floor) of Arts Block No III at 5 pm.

* The interview for admission to MA Part I (Political Science) will be held on July 11 in room number 2 (first floor) of Arts Block No. III at 5 pm.

* The interview for admission to MA Part I (History) will be held on July 11 in room number 3 (first floor) of Arts Block No III at 5 pm.

* The interview for admission to MA Part I (Economics) will be held on July 11 in room number 7 of Arts Block No I at 5 pm.

* The interview for admission to MA Part I (Punjabi) will be held on July 11 in room number 8 of Arts Block No I at 5 pm.

Date extended

The Dean of University Instruction has extended the last date for submitting admission forms for MBA (executive) in the University Business School,PU Campus to July 11.

School of Communication Studies

All eligible candidates are advised to bring all their original certificates for scrutiny at the time of group discussion (GD) and personal interview (PI). Eligible candidates are required to submit all the required documents by 4 pm on July 11 as per the format given in the handbook of information. GD and PI for admission to MA (Journalism and Mass Communication) will be held in the department as per the schedule in the table below.
