PU announces schedule for Syndicate polls

Panjab University (PU) on Monday announced the schedule for the Syndicate elections that are to be held on December 9.

As per the schedule,Fellows of Faculty of Arts and Faculty of Science will elect three members each for the Syndicate at 9 am and 10 am respectively. It will be followed by a meeting of Fellows of Languages,Law and Medical Sciences at 11 am,12 noon,1 pm and 2.30 pm respectively. Two members of each faculty will be elected for the Syndicate. However,the faculty meeting for the election of Fellows from the combined faculty will take place at 4:15 pm.

The elections for the Dean,Secretary and other posts in departments of Business of Law,Medical Sciences,Dairying,Animal Husbandry and Agriculture will also be held on December 9,while,those of the of faculties of Arts,Languages,Business Management and Commerce,Education,Design and Fine Arts,Science,Engineering and Technology,and Pharmaceutical Sciences will be held on December 10.
