Chandigarh Health Secretary, Yashpal Garg, on Saturday issued an order that stated that the entire process of counselling, first, second and third rounds, for admission to MD/MS Courses (2023) to GMCH-32 Chandigarh, which is being done in an offline mode, will need to be video-graphed this year.

The order also stated that the video footage of the same recording ahs to be preserved for at least one year. If required, more than one video camera can be used to capture the counselling process.

The order further states that from next year onwards, the counselling for admission in state quota (IP Pool and UT Pool) is to be done through online mode only,in order to ensure fairness and transparency, with preferences of students being frozen prior to the start of the counselling round and almost no human intervention ensuring no corruption.

Garg added that if required, technical help may be sought from other institutions that are conducting admission counselling through online mode.
