The Punjab Principal Secretary (Urban Local Bodies) was summoned by the Punjab and Haryana High Court on Wednesday in relation with an ongoing petition demanding installation of a solid waste management plant in Mohali. The officer was summoned immediately after the Court took strong note of absence of any officer in the Court to assist the state counsel. The High Court directed the Principal Secretary to file an affidavit giving details of the time required to install solid waste management plant in Mohali.
