Prabhsimran helps St Stephen’s win

An all-round performance by Prabhsimran Singh (28 no and 2 for 15) steered St Stephen’s School,Sector 45,to the final with a narrow two-wicket win over Saupin’s School in the St Joseph’s Inter-School U-14 inter-school league-cum-knockout Champions Trophy played at St Joseph’s School on Friday.

Batting first,Saupin’s School scored 108 for 8 in the allotted 20 overs. Prabhjeet Singh top scored with 44 runs while Gauravdeep Gill contributed ten runs. For St Stephen’s School,Bhupinder,Prabhsimran and Anshul Chaudhary grabbed two wickets each. In reply,St Stephen’s-45 reached the target for the loss of eight wickets in 19 overs. Khushleen anchored the team’s chase with superb 30 runs while Prabhsimran Singh contributed 28 runs. For Saupin’s School,Prabhjeet Singh and Sukhman claimed three wickets each.
