The police today recorded the statement of Neha Thakur,who was injured in an acid attack on Sunday evening.

The police today recorded the statement of Neha Thakur,who was injured in an acid attack on Sunday evening. The victim has reportedly told the police that the person behind the attack resembled Aman,an ex-employee of the mall. Few more persons are also under the scanner.

According to police sources the victim in her statement,which was recorded in parts,said that the assailant looked like Aman from his body language. The assailants were also reported to have covered their faces with a cloth and were also wearing safety helmets to conceal their identities.

Meanwhile,the police today traced the address of the main suspect Aman to Ucha village in Fatehgarh Sahib. The police teams were currently on the lookout for him. The police have also questioned a few persons in relation to the case.

On Sunday two unidentified persons threw acid on Neha and her colleague Nirmala when they were walking towards Sector 28 after finishing their work at the Westside Mall. When the two reached Pasco Motors in Industrial Area,two bike borne riders stopped and threw acid on Neha. She was severely injured in the attack while her friend received minor burn injuries. The two were rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) Sector 32. Neha received burn injuries on her face,chest and stomach. She is presently under going treatment at the hospital.
