Two days after he was admitted in the emergency ward of PGIMER after being shot in the neck,Mohammad Naushad’s relatives alleged on Sunday that he was not being given timely treatment at the hospital. A resident of village Rampur, district Saharanpur,Naushad was admitted in the hospital at 2 am on Friday, but his relatives allege that the bullet implanted in the neck is yet to be removed.

While doctors are yet to operate on his injuries, his relatives allege that Naushad is developing complications because of the lax attitude of the hospital.

“The patient’s file was taken from us this morning and has not been returned to us as yet. We have been running from one department to another getting the tests and medical reports done, and now the medical staff claims they have no clue about the patient’s medical file,” said Liyaqat Ali,Naushad’s relative. He further alleged that the bullet has not yet been removed from Naushad’s body.

PGIMER official spokesperson said: “The matter will be looked into. In the emergency ward,we take full care of patients. There may be some communication gap between the patient and the staff. If there is any laxity on part of the staff,or any communications gap,it will be sorted out.”
