Chandigarh Territorial Congress Committee celebrated 66th Independence day at Congress Bhawan. B B Bahl,President CTTC unfurled the National Flag. Bahl paid homage to freedom fighters and martyrs. Other who were present on the occasion were Rampal Sharma,DD Jindal,Mayor Raj Bala Malik Mayor and workers of Congress Sewa Dal.
Independence Day celebrations were organised at the party office Kamlam in Sector 33. President of the city unit of the party Sanjay Tandon unfurled the tricolour. Sweets were distributed among party workers. Tandon also unfurled the national flag at motor market Sector 48,Sector 23 and Indira Colony. Former MP Satya Pal Jain unfurled the National Flag in Mauli Jagran Colony and Vikas Nagar. He took the opportunity to slam the policies of Congress and appealed to the people to defeat the Congress in the next Lok Sabha polls.
Beopar Mandal
I-DAY was celebrated by the traders of the city at Satsang Bhawan,Sector 26. The tricolour was unfurled by Sat Pal Gupta chairman of the association and CBM. Speaking on the occasion Gupta appealed to the Chandigarh Administration to upgrade the existing grain market which is in a very bad shape. He said the market lacks proper roads,sanitation and encroachments are thriving.
chb colonies
Residents of CHB Colonies and the Rehabilitation Colonies assembled in the Community Centre,Sector 45 to celebrate Independence Day. Kashmiri Devi,the area councilor unfurled the national flag. Patriotic speeches and songs were presented. The General House of the Federation convened to assess the success of the Campaign and decide the future course of action. The next phase of the agitation would be called We Shall Remember.
