Panchkula skaters hog limelight

Panchkula skaters hogged limelight during the recently concluded State Roller Skating Championship at Kurukshetra winning as many as 17 medals. The skaters of Rolling Tigers Academy,Panchkula,particularly did well bagging 12 medals out of those 17. Chhavi Bishnoi and Gaurav Bishnoi of The Gurukul,Sector 20,Panchkula,have been selected to represent Haryana in the upcoming National Roller Skating Championship,scheduled next month in Nagpur. The Panchkula skaters were coached by Chander Singhal.

Pawan steers GMSSS-19 to win
Chandigarh:A five-wicket haul by Pawan guided Government Model Senior Secondary School,Sector 19 to a ten-wicket win over Swami Ram Tirtha Public High School,Mohali in a league match of the Cremica Cup being played in Chandigarh on Monday. Batting first,Swami Ram Tirtha Public High School,Mohali were bundled out for a total of 41 runs in 10.5 overs. Chasing an easy target,Government Model Senior Secondary School,Sector 19 reached the target without any loss in 3.2 overs. In another match of the day,Mount Carmel School,Sector 26 defeated Sri Aurobindo School.

FCI HQ move to top
Chandigarh:FCI Head-quarters are at the top of the table with 15 points at the end of third day in the FCI Inter-Zone Cricket Championship being played in Chandigarh. North Zone is placed at the second spot with 12 points. The final of the tournament will be played at PCA Stadium,Mohali on January 27.
