Nirmal Yadav asked Ravinder Singh to find her a contractor

More importantly,the contractor has revealed that he used to get frequent phone calls from a mobile number which was used by Yadav.

The mobile phone was registered in the name of Ravinder Singh but was used by Yadav (09811522262). The contractor,Onil Kumar Dewan,has been made a prosecution witness by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). He has been arrayed as PW-53 by the CBI which is investigating the infamous ‘cash at judge’s door’ scam.

These details were disclosed by special CBI prosecutor Anupam Gupta on Tuesday during the resumed hearing on framing of charges against Justice (retd) Yadav and the co-accused.

The statement of Onil Kumar Dewan reads that he was tasked with renovating Yadav’s residence in Gurgaon.

Interestingly,he has told CBI that he left the work unfinished after Yadav’s husband had slapped one of his employees.

Peeved with the “misconduct”,the contractor had refused to complete the work.

The contractor has told the CBI that he last received a phone call from Yadav on September 2,2008.

4 witnesses to testify on delivery of 15 lakhs

CHANDIGARH: The special CBI prosecutor Anupam Gupta on Tuesday referred to statements of four witnesses to corroborate the CBI’s case that co accused Sanjiv Bansal had got delivered an amount of Rs 15 lakh to Justice Yadav the very next morning after it was wrongly delivered at the residence of Justice Nirmaljit Kaur.

The four witnesses before whom Bansal “unburdened” himself with this fact are Hemant Jindal,Satish Mittal,Vikram Beniwal and S S Mand (the then Vigilance officer).

The money was got delivered at Justice Yadav’s residence through Bansal’s friend Rajiv Gupta (co accused) at the request of Ravinder Singh. The money was delivered to Justice Yadav,according to the CBI,was “desperately” asking for it.

On August 13,2008 a packet of 15 lakhs was wrongly delivered at the residence of Justice Nirmaljit Kaur .
