If you’ve got the talent, they’ve got an opportunity. For all those who love and know music, the Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Dha Ni Saa Academy of Mumbai,a pioneer institute in the field of music is holding its auditions in Punjab. Earlier,Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Dha Ne Saa Academy had been conducting auditions in Mumbai only, but this year they have decided to organize auditions all over the country that includes places like Punjab,West Bengal,Madhya Pradesh and Assam. “Participants often face difficulty in coming to Mumbai all the way from their place. So for their convenience and to ensure that everyone gets a chance,we decided to hold auditions in all the major states in the country,” says Sucheta Bhattacharya,Dean of the Academy in Mumbai and an established vocalist. The Academy has produced some of the finest singers like Ishmeet Singh, who won the Amul Voice of India and his legacy will now be carried by his cousin Gurleeen Singh, who left B.Tech for singing. “Punjabis have a different style of singing with a unique pitch,so we are here to conduct our auditions,” said Dr Charan Kamal Singh,Secretary of Management Committee of Ishmeet Singh Society, which is chaired by Prakash Singh Badal. The Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Dha Ne Sa Academy was established two years back with an aim to provide a platform where students could showcase and groom their talent to face the fiercely competitive entertainment world. “Our country has a big pool of talent and our aim is to reach all of them,” says Gajender Singh, who has pioneered music shows like Amul Voice of India,Chotte Ustaad and is now organizing Sangeet Ka Sabse Bada Muqaabala on Star Plus. Besides providing music training and vocal projection, the Academy also focuses on personality development, communication skills, dance and yoga classes.

The auditions for the admission in the third batch of academy which will start from March have already started. Auditions of registered candidates will be held on February 14 at Baba Ishar Singh Senior Secondary Public School,Ludhiana, and on 21 February at Guru Nanak Khalsa College for Women,Ludhiana.
