Murderer in custody for two days

Ramesh Kumar,28,who had killed his sister-in-law,Sonu (26),on Friday has been sent to two-day police custody today. He was arrested on Saturday night and produced before the area magistrate today. The complainant in this case is Rakesh Kumar (30),elder brother of Ramesh.

Both the brothers were married to sisters – Seema and Sonu. Both sisters had gone to their parents’ home in Dadumajra. Ramesh came there on Friday,but Seema reportedly refused to come with him. They had an argument and after that a scuffle ensued,Ramesh attacked his wife with a knife and injured her. When Sonu tried to intervene,he stabbed her in the chest,killing her. A case was registered against him under Section 302.
