Muktsar,Moga girls top PSEB Class XII exam

Girls from Malout in Muktsar and Moga shared the top slot in the Class XII annual examinations conducted by Punjab School Education Board the result of which was declared on Monday.

Girls from Malout in Muktsar and Moga shared the top slot in the Class XII annual examinations conducted by Punjab School Education Board (PSEB),the result of which was declared on Monday.

Neha Jagga of JTB Khalsa Senior Secondary School and Mohini of SD Girls Senior Secondary School secured 422 of the total 450 marks (93.77 per cent). Both the toppers are from Humanities stream,said PSEB Chairman Dr Dalbir Singh Dhillon. While Jaspreet Kaur (Science stream) of Guru Nanak Model Senior Secondary School,Doraha in Ludhiana,bagged the second position with 420 marks (93.33 %),Ruby Mishra (Humanities) of BSM Senior Secondary School,Ludhiana,secured the third rank with 419 marks (93.11 %).

In Commerce stream,Puja Garg of Government Model Senior Secondary School,Pheelkhana in Patiala,topped with 409 marks (90.88 pc),while Sanju Kumar of Government Senior Secondary School for Boys,Nabha in Patiala,is the topper in the vocational stream with 411 marks (91.33 %).

Dhillon said of the over 2 lakh regular students,71.94 per cent cleared the exams while 50.47 per cent private students passed. The overall pass percentage remained 64.69 per cent.
