Mr Lie Detector

Sach ka Saamna is a great concept. It is the most respectable show on Indian television.

There has been a lull after the storm. Once at the centre of controversy that Sach Ka Saamna — a show where contestants have to speak the truth to win a reward — created two years ago,its host Rajeev Khandelwal has now settled into a life of happy matrimony with Manjiri Kamtikar. With the show’s second season ready to go on air in the next couple of months on Star Plus, the actor tells Priyanka Pereira why the first edition left him more awed than shocked

No. It isn’t about courage,it’s about reaching a point in your life when you just want to speak the truth. It is what people call catharsis. It could be for money too,but that’s probably just an added benefit.

You have two films,Shaitan and Soundtrack, releasing is June and August, respectively. Excited or nervous?

Neither. It is just the the way I operate. I am not fond of seeing myself here and there without any reason. All I can say is

I am anxious about how people will perceive me after two years.
