BMW crashes into bike in Mohali; 1 dead, 2 injured
The police arrested the BMW driver and booked him for death due to negligence.

A youth was killed and two others were injured after a speeding BMW car rammed into their bike in the Mohali district of Punjab on Wendesday night, said the police.
The police said the accident occurred near the Lohgarh area on the Zirakpur-Patiala highway and the car coming from the Patiala side hit the bike from behind. The deceased was identified as Sahib. The injured – Sumit and Rajvir – were undergoing treatment at a hospital.
Zirakpur station house officer inspector Jaskanwal Sekhon told The Indian Express that they arrested the car driver Prateek, a resident of Desumajra village in Mohali, who was driving the BMW with a Himachal Pradesh registration number. He added that Prateek is the second owner of the car and that he bought it from Himachal Pradesh.
The police booked him under sections 304-A (death due to negligence) and 427 (mischief, damage to the property of fifty rupees) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
