Military doctor caught in bribe-taking act

CBI,in a raid conducted in the Military Hospital Ambala Cantonment,arrested ENT Specialist Dr V S Yadav red handed,while accepting a bribe of Rs 10,000 from a candidate for issuing fitness certificate.

The Central Bureau of Investigation,in a raid conducted in the Military Hospital Ambala Cantonment,arrested ENT Specialist Dr V S Yadav red handed,while accepting a bribe of Rs 10,000 from a candidate for issuing fitness certificate today.

According to information,a candidate appearing for recruitment in the Army from Sangrur centre was declared unfit during the medical test.

The candidate Paramjit was advised by the recruiting officers to get himself examined from the Military Hospital.

Accordingly,Paramjit appeared at the ENT department of Military Hospital Ambala where Dr Yadav examined him and demanded a bribe of Rs 10,000.

The doctor,who is a colonel,demanded the amount for issuing a fitness certificate.

The harassed candidate Paramjit approached the Central Bureau of Investigation and lodged complaint against the doctor.

The Central Bureau of Investigation then formed a team of 8 officials headed by the DSP M S Barar and conducted the raid here today.

The Central Bureau of Investigation arrested Dr Yadav red handed and recovered the amount from him.

The Central Bureau of Investigation also raided the residence of the doctor and took some documents in their possession. Military Hospital Commandant Brig (Dr) Manmohan Singh was remained unavailable for comment.
