Meghalaya police cadets visit PU

As many as 24 cadets of the North Eastern Police Academy...

As many as 24 cadets of the North Eastern Police Academy (NEPA),Meghalaya,led by DSP Ramesh Chandra visited the Centre for Police Administration,University Institute of Emerging Areas in Social Sciences (UIEASS),Panjab University,on Friday and interacted with students and faculty here.

The contingent was accompanied by Inspector Parvesh Sharma of Chandigarh Police. Professor Anil Monga,coordinator,Centre for Police Administration (UIEASS),Panjab University,highlighted the activities undertaken by the Centre for Police Administration.

A cadet said: “The problem of insurgency is a major challenge in Manipur. In Meghalaya,insurgency has been controlled to some extent,but people there face the problem of smuggling.”
