MC officer recommends self for Padma Shri

In separate communications to Director and Patiala Regional Deputy Director of Local Government department,Gupta has recounted how he and his team removed encroachment from municipal land in Santemajra village under Kharar MC limits. “This encroachment was removed due to special efforts put in by me and my four subordinates,” states Gupta.

To further strengthen his case,the officer also forwarded for favourable consideration with his letters,a resolution adopted by the MC House wherein it recommended the names of these civic officers for honour. However,the MC resolution does not specifically mention the Padma Awards.

In his letter,the MC EO has also referred to a communication received from the state government seeking recommendations for the Padma Awards. The routine government communication seeks names of any such persons who deserve to be recognised for extraordinary work.
