In the end,Mayank heaved a sigh of relief. Though he was the better player in the second and the third game,he found it tough to get off to a good start which hampered his proceedings. However,he played some smashing shots that helped him ease past Rajat in a match played in the boy’s Under-17 category of the 7th Ashwani Gupta Memorial District badminton championship at the Tau Devi Lal Stadium,Sector 3,on Friday.
With the heat rising inside the badminton hall,Mayank looked for a good start against Rajat. But as the match progressed he found himself staring down at the barrel and lost the first game 15-21. However,he did not lose heart and persevered and made a strong comeback to win the second game 21-11.
