Maneesh Chaudhary set to become SP (traffic)

Panchkula Deputy Commissioner of Police Maneesh Chaudhary,a 2005 batch IPS officer,is set to become the SP with the Chandigarh Police with the DoPT clearing his name and sending it to the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet for its nod.

Panchkula Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Maneesh Chaudhary,a 2005 batch IPS officer,is set to become the SP (traffic) with the Chandigarh Police with the DoPT clearing his name and sending it to the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet for its nod.

The Union Home Ministers office had recently approved Chaudharys name and the matter was forwarded to the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) for final clearance.

The government had asked the UT administration about Chaudharys willingness,after which the administration had sought a reply from Chaudhary.

Chaudhary had informed the UT administration about his willingness to join as SP (traffic). After receiving the reply,the administration had forwarded it to the government.

Earlier,the Haryana government had sent a panel of three IPS officers,Maneesh Chaudhary,Hemant Kalson and Rajender Kumar. The administration had forwarded the panel to the MHA.

The government had sent the panel to replace Hardeep Singh Doon. At present,DIG Alok Kumar has been holding charge of SP (traffic).

Maneesh Chaudharys mother Meenakshi Anand Chaudhary is a former Haryana chief information commissioner and a former chief secretary of Haryana. His father,Dr J L Choudhary,had retired as Haryanas director general,health services.
