Man murdered in Industrial Area

Ram Singh,who hailed from Nepal,was found with multiple stab injuries in his stomach,hand and neck. The murder weapon was left in his neck,the police said.

The murder came to light around 9.15 am when a factory worker saw Singh’s body lying in a pool of blood in his room near the main gate,which was open.

Robbery was cited as the motive behind the crime,as zinc plates and other metal were missing from the factory of Ess Enn Engineering Exim Private Limited. The mobile phone of the victim was also missing. The police said the assailants secured a friendly entry and were known to the victim.

Singh had been living in the city since 1974. He was sacked from his earlier job in a nearby factory after the owner had charged him with stealing 110 kilograms of scrap. Later,he had reportedly confessed to the crime. Singh’s son,who lives in Qatar,has been informed,the police said.

A case has been registered.
