Man attempts to rape 5-yr-old

On the complaint made by the victim’s father,the police officials arrested the accused from his residence in Sector 30.

According to per one of the police officials,Bablu is an ice-cream vendor and a neighbor of the victim.

In his statement to the police,Bablu said,“On October 22,the five-year-old girl came to me asking for ice-cream. I refused to give her one. That is all that happened”.

Two days later,the victim told her parents that Bablu tried to rape her and has been threatening her. A local court on Wednesday sent the accused Bablu to fourteen days’ judicial custody.
