Ladies’ Day Out

Flowing Wine,Beyonce numbers, diamonds on view and a sumptuous meal. What more could a lady ask for? With that in mind, the Saturday afternoon saw luxury brand Montblanc roll out the red carpet, quite literally, for the city’s ladies at a special luncheon called Bella Donna. The lunch was hosted at Taj Chandigarh’s Oriental restaurant The Black Lotus and the occasion was to celebrate womanhood and introduce Chandigarh’s swish set to Montblanc’s fine jewellery range over wine and lunch. Going by the dainty pieces of necklaces, earrings and rings, which were up for view,it seems the brand, otherwise known for their writing instruments are equally skillful with jewellery. “Some of these pieces are limited edition,” pitched in the brand’s north India retail head Ritu Handa, who was present on the occasion. Exclusive to Chandigarh, the showcase brought in a select few watches as well.

Admiring a signature Montblanc ring set in diamonds, socialite Ritika Sareen remarked,“One is often picking up gifts for men at Montblanc but I am quite excited seeing the fine jewellery line. The sets are not ostentatious and I really like that,as they don’t demand occasion wear,” said Sareen, looking chic in a black ensemble. Also among those, who admired the collection, priced Rs 2 lakh onwards, were friends Rupa Gupta and Micky Khosla. Given the set-up of the place, with tables on one side,to a counter showcase on the other, the ladies had a fun time sipping wine, sampling tempura and looking at the beautiful jewellery on offer. Playing perfect host was Parul Duggal, boutique manager,Montblanc Chandigarh along with Surbhi Ahuja, boutique manager,Montblanc Ludhiana, who made sure that the ladies got to try the pieces as well as enjoy each other’s company. Cheers

to that.
