Honestly? One look at his profile, and it’ll take a minute, probably more than that to swallow this man’s achievements. Author,editor,publisher,photographer,model,actor,numerologist,voice-over artist, communication trainer, columnist, scriptwriter, motivator – Vickrant Mahajan’s impressive list of feats can be quite intimidating, especially when you’ve been in a rut for a decade. So,when Mahajan, who’s juggled with 12 odd professions, sits down and pens a book on how to be a success, the ‘Under-achievers Inc’ sits up and takes notes. Which is exactly what we are bringing to you right now – Mahajan’s latest self help book,‘Stretch Yourself.’

A motivational book,it stems from a young philosophy,‘life is calling, where are you?’ “I love that line,” says Vickrant who feels that unless you don’t maximize your life, you’ll never be able to achieve. “Never undermine yourself or limit your aspirations. Always think big,” he gives the mool-mantra. For someone who believes in singular pursuits, one after another,Vickrant’s come a long way himself. “I was a editor with Harper Collins when I took up the Grasim Mr India challenge,” he tells us. Work in the morning and gym in the evening, the man won himself Mr Photogenic and First Runners-Up title! Following this,he went on to pen three non fiction works,a book of short stories, study numerology and these days,it’s photography. “Which is accompanied with my first love, coffee table books,” he’s already authored four! “I’m not gifted, but I try for there is no failure but the one you acknowledge, and this is the only one shot at immortality,” with his new book,Vickrant wants ‘Stretch Yourself’ to be the buzzword. But haven’t we had enough of these? “Well, not exactly. We have Deepak Chopra,Shiv Khera and Robin Sharma…and I actually feel like them! But that’s it. There’s still a void in the self help genre,” he says.

About the book,he reflects,“People generally sleepwalk through life, and most of their potential goes untapped. As crazy as it sounds,if you love life,it will love you back. This is your foremost duty.” In fact,Vickrant personally makes it a point to pick things that are completely different, evolving, challenging. “Because that’s the way you live life to the fullest.” Spread over seven chapters, the book shows the reader how to max life at every level – mental, physical, spiritual, financial, human, professional and personal – and helps them create their dream life,in a way that’s both easy and enduring. “These are the seven layers of contemporary human existence,it begins in the mind and trickles down,” he quotes Krishna,‘thought produces action.’

Yes it does.
