Jagmeet Brar visits cotton farmers in Lambi

Brar visited Lambi and met farmers who are uprooting their cotton crop because of the whitefly attack.

Jagmeet Brar, who had returned to the Congress fold after AICC chief Sonia Gandhi revoked his suspension recently, has become active in his area.

On Sunday, he visited Lambi and met farmers who are uprooting their cotton crop because of the whitefly attack.

Brar was accompanied by his supporters, former Muktsar district Congress committee president Gurdas Girdhar, present district president Gurmeet Khuddian and many other leaders.

Brar said, “Farmers should be compensated as the insecticide sprayed on the cotton crop was of no use. An inquiry needs to be instituted as well to look into the quality of the insecticide.”

Brar later attended the bhog of four youngsters of Malaut who died in a road accident recently .  He also went to Dabwali Malkon village where he said that “the party was gearing up for its political conference at Baba Bakala on August 29 on the occasion of Rakhar Puniya (full moon day):

Brar added: “All the senior party leaders have been sent invites, including Capt Amarinder Singh, PPCC president Partap Singh Bajwa, Rajinder Kaur Bhattal and many others.”

He also said that if PPP president Manpreet Singh Badal joins the Congress, it will be an asset to the party.
