International Nurses’ Week that was being observed at PGI from May 12 came to an end in Chandigarh on Monday.

International Nurses’ Week that was being observed at PGI from May 12 came to an end in Chandigarh on Monday.

The week was celebrated to mark the birth anniversary of Florence Nightingale,the founder of modern nursing profession while the theme for this year’s celebrations was

‘Delivering Quality,Serving Communities: Nurses Leading Care Innovations’. Rich tribute was paid to the icon of nursing through various activities performed during the week under the leadership of Amarjit Nafra,Nursing Superintendent PGIMER.

During the week,various educational activities were also organised like demonstrations on hand washing technique,Kangaroo care and aseptic techniques in wound dressing. The chief guest of the function was financial advisor at PGIMER Ritu Dhillon.
