India-Sri Lanka T20 tickets up for sale

On the first day of sale of tickets for the second Twenty20 cricket match between India and Sri Lanka,long queues were witnessed at the PCA stadium,Mohali.

On the first day of sale of tickets for the second Twenty20 cricket match between India and Sri Lanka,long queues were witnessed at the PCA stadium,Mohali. The match is scheduled for December 12.

“We waited for over two hours in the queue to get tickets. It was very crowded,” Harpreet Singh,a 16-year-old student,said.

Cricket enthusiasts had lined up from early morning at ticket counters at the PCA stadium. But some complained of mismanagement.

“Some friends had informed us that ticket sales will start this morning,but it was very confusing at the PCA stadium,” Mohali resident Raman Nagpal said.

Not many people,however,were seen at the Central Bank of India branches,where the tickets are available.

“Since youngsters love Twenty20 cricket,I had expected a long queue at the bank. But I got the ticket within minutes,” Ramesh Kumar,a Panjab University student,said.

Many students bought tickets for the chair block,as these tickets are less expensive than the other blocks.

Sale on till Dec 6
Tickets are available at the Central Bank of India branches in sectors 15,17 and 32 in Chandigarh and Sector 10 in Panchkula from 10 am to 5 pm. They are also available at PCA stadium’s ticket windows on Gate no 5 and 14. Tickets will be sold till December 6.
