Amateur Karate Association of Chandigarh will organise 18th Sub Junior and Senior Chandigarh State Karate Championship for boys and girls on February 13 to 14 at Banyan Tree School Sector 48,Chandigarh. Entries will close at 9.00 am on February 13 at the venue itself.

Judo tourney from Feb 7 to 14
Judokas will be seen in action during the All India Inter -University Judo Championship for men and women at Panjab University Gymnasium Hall from February 7 to 14. The championship is being organised by Directorate of Sports,Panjab University,Chandigarh. The women championship will be held from February 7 to 9,while men competitions will take place from February 12 to 14. As many as 1400 men and women judokas from 87 Universities from all over the country will take part in the championship.

Nidani school claims kabaddi title
Chaudhary Bhagat Singh Memorial Sports School Nidani,Jind,emerged overall champions in the State Women’s Open Kabaddi tournament that concluded at Tau Devi Lal Sports Complex,Sector 3,Panchkula,on Saturday. The tournament was organised by Government College,Sector1,Panchkula. Playing in the final,Chaudhary Bhagat Singh Memorial Sports School Nidani,Jind,defeated Shri Guru Gobind Singh College for Women,Chandigarh,by 45-18 points. Meanwhile,Arya Kanya Gurukul,Karnal and Bhai Surender Malik Memorial Kanya Madhyamik Varisht Vidyalaya,Jind,finished third jointly.
